About Hessle Rangers CIC

Hessle Rangers CIC is a Grassroots football club based in Hessle, East Yorkshire. The club was formed with one team by Peter and Janet Bilsdon in 1976 and has grown into a 3* England Accredited club, and has 5 senior teams, with 4 men’s teams competing in the Humber Premier League, East Riding County League and Hull Sunday League and a Ladies team who are a part of the East Riding Women’s League. The club has 25 junior teams in the Hull and District Youth Football League and East Riding Girls Football League, as well as a Ladies Walking Football squad.

In 2018, the club launched a new Wildcats centre – FA affiliated sessions for girls aged 5-11 who are new to football. From the success of the Wildcats sessions, the club has grown it’s only girls’ team into 5 current girls’ teams with plans for 2 new teams in 2023 and also has a Ladies team and Ladies Walking Football session plus 20+ girls weekly attending Wildcats. There are now 130 female players involved in the club weekly, almost 10 times the 14 girls the club had in 2018.

Hessle Rangers CIC is committed to producing more girls’ teams, more female players and more female coaches and referees. The club is also committed to offering more opportunities for greater numbers of boys to play youth football and to growing the number of senior teams in the club – bucking the national trend.
